5th Grade Fundraiser(s) Commitment Level: Light to Medium Number of Coordinators Needed: 1-2 per event Responsibilities: The PTO is supporting $10,000 of Ecology School. The total cost of the trip is between $15,000 and $17,000, therefore, in order to lessen the burden on parents, additional fundraising has to be done. **One BIG way to cut costs is to appeal to C&J to donate transportation to and from Poland, ME (They have done so in the past.). See a Board Member for hints on how to solicit this donation.** End of 4th Grade - a fundraiser for e-school will be done at Lawn Fete to kick off 5th grade fundraising. The Wreath fundraiser at the holidays is also an exclusively 5th grade fundraiser. During the 5th Grade Year - The idea is for the kids to get a little skin in the game and feel like they’ve earned the trip and can take pride in that. Some ideas for easy-ish fundraisers are as follows:
Cookie Dough catalogue sales - can be done in conjunction with a holiday catalogue fundraiser or separately
Dance-A-Thon, Car Wash, etc… Anything kids can participate in...
