Artist-In-Residence Programs
Commitment Level: Light
Number of Coordinators Needed: 1-2
Responsibilities:
1. Beginning in the fall - Survey the staff to see what sorts of activities they may be interested in pursuing
2. Research opportunities for visiting artists, drama programs, music enrichment programs, etc... the PTO could possibly bring in. (This is a replacement for Gary the Clown.)
3. By November/December - bring ideas to the Board
4. Coordinate with Mrs. Simons to get a program scheduled. (It usually happens in the Spring.)

2. September - Begin soliciting ads from local businesses and parents for the directory (Coordinate with the person who has taken on soliciting corporate donations to avoid double-dipping.)
3. September-November - Collect donations. layout the directory, and get it printed. The Goal is to get it out before Thanksgiving.

Responsibilities:
- August/September - check in with Mrs. Simons (Principal) about any cleanup or other needs for best outdoor classroom use.
- Fall/Spring - Cleanup around classroom and/or the Nature Trail - be sure to check dates with school calendar
- Contact our Social Media Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator to publicize events/ask for volunteers
- Contact Mrs. Simons and/or Ken Linchey regarding mulch or other needs.
5th Grade Wreath Fundraiser
Commitment Level: Light
Number of Coordinators Needed: 1 -2
Responsibilities:
This fundraiser is primarily run by the school. We are just there to help solicit the wreath and decorating supply donations and supervise the kids.
1. Early November - Approach local stores to donate 50 live wreaths/or negotiate a discounted price. Hannaford has donated in the past. Whole Foods and local Home Depot, Lowes, Garden Supply stores are all good sources.
2. Early December - Coordinate with Mrs. Kumph in the front office for the afternoon decorating times.
3. Contact the Volunteer Coordinator to ask for 2-4 parents for each decorating day and the Social Media Coordinator to publicize the sign-up and the sale.
4. Day Of - or Week Of - See a Board Member to help you get the ribbons and other decorating supplies from the PTO Shed. Assist with the wreath display.
