The person or people who have the gift of gab and would be willing to take this on would be responsible for seeking corporate donations for the following events:
- BEGINNING ASAP - But in earnest in January - Lawn Fete - Silent Auction Prizes - large and small - a mani-pedi or a piece by a local artist could be auctioned off for as much as or more than a dinner at the Wentworth. You never know…
- Sponsorships of ongoing programs - such as our healthy snack tables (These can cost upwards of $2,000 a year.) ClearChoice MD has been generous, but we’d also like to make a connection with Whole Foods.
- Wreath Donations at the Holidays - Hannaford has generously donated 50 wreaths the last two years for the 5th grade Wreath Decorating fundraiser - it is a huge hit! But we may need a new source, or a very persuasive person to ask Hannaford again.
- Gift Card donations for prizes during Teacher Appreciation Week, and other general donations.
- Donations of Goods and Services - like coffee, tea, pastries, luncheon foods for Teacher Appreciation Week and other events.
- Sponsorships for 5th grade Ecology School and other field trips - Buses and entrance fees for all field trips are supported by PTO fundraising. Sponsors for the Squam Lake 4th grade trip, Music Hall shows for grades K-2, and the 5th Grade Boston trip, would be very helpful. 5th Grade Ecology School in Maine is the largest field trip expense, at $10,000. Any corporate support we can get is greatly appreciated. Companies might sponsor one student’s trip, or make a general donation. Transportation is a large part of the budget for E-School . C&J has donated buses to take the kids there in style in the past, and we’d like to get that going again.
- Contact the Assistant Treasurer to make any deposits, and to send out receipts for Donors. **All donations to the NFS PTO are tax-deductible.**
