Thank you for your interest in volunteering!  Scroll down to see volunteer information on:
* Fall Kickball Tourney
* 3 v. 3 Basketball Tourney
* Spring Wiffleball Tourney
Fall/Spring Kickball or Wiffleball Tournament
Commitment Level: Light to Medium
Number of Coordinators Needed: 1-2 for Games - 1 for concession sales
Responsibilities for Game Coordinators:
1. 3+ weeks out - Set date with Mrs. Simons (Principal) (Probably a rain date too)
2. 3 weeks out - Copy and send out the sign-up sheet in yellow folders (16 sets of 20 sheets) (Sign-Up Sheet and Rules are in PTO google drive.) ***Make the due date 1 week prior to the tourney to have time to set the bracket.)
** It’s probably easiest to have kids submit 1 form for the team, but that may be tricky for them to coordinate.**
 * Contact our Social Media Coordinator to publicize the event and send a copy of the form home in the weekly email
* You’d want 9-10 players per team - entry fee should be $2-$5 per player - but a kid should NEVER be sent away due to the lack of ability to pay.  Ideally, there are 4 teams per grade - but even numbers in each grade work too. (If too many kids sign up - may need to do 2 days - K-2 day 1 and 3-5 day 2)
3. 1 Week Prior - Collect entry forms and fees from Mrs. Kumph (secretary) in the front office.
4. 1-2 Weeks Prior - Contact the Volunteer Coordinator to send out a Sign-Up Genius for parent volunteers to help with sign-ins, bracketing, umpiring, and general crowd control. **Include Concession Stand volunteers**
5. Create a bracket with same-age teams playing each other to start - single or double elimination is your call - depending on the number of teams.
6. Week of - Send out a game schedule so parents can plan to attend or for a pick-up time
7. Day Of - Coin-flip for home (last ups) - and 3 inning games to keep it moving.
8. Have an adult or 2 work as “umpires” - to keep games under control.
Responsibilities for Concession Stand:
  1. 1-2 Weeks Prior - Contact Game coordinator about Sign-Up Genius needs (usually 2-3 people per 1 hour shift.)
**Decide if you want to ask people to donate baked goods, or just purchase bottles of water and bags of snacks. Keep in mind that everything sells for $1.00.. If you want to have people bring in donations of snacks - put that in the Sign-Up Genius. If you’d like to just purchase snacks, keep all receipts for reimbursement. (Also check to see if we have any water or snacks from previous events available to sell.)
  1. 1-2 Weeks Prior - Contact Mrs. Simons to arrange for tables. and the Assistant Treasurer to arrange for a cash box.
  2. Day Of - Set-Up and work the table with the volunteers.
    1. Make arrangements to return the cash box to the front office or the Assistant Treasurer.
    2. Clean up and break down tables at the end of the night.  Store any leftover snacks/water in the PTO shed.
